We are 6 DAYS away from Sunday, December 10th. From 8am – 11:00am, Santa will be at the Yaphank Fire Department for our annual ‘Breakfast with Santa’. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and orange juice or coffee. Get your picture taken with Santa too!! Adults are 7$ Children are 5$ (ages-6-12) anyone under 5 is free. The Yaphank Fire Department Juniors is a program sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America Explorer program. We allow kids ages 14 – 21 years old, and that have completed the 8th grade. If interested, contact the respective parties below on the form below and someone from the program office will reach out to you.
It’s that time of year again when Jolly Old St. Nicholas will be visiting the community of Yaphank accompanied by the Yaphank Fire Department. Santa Clause has a lot of visits to make so he asks that you all be ready when you hear the fire trucks coming! Santa will start his visits on Saturday, December 16th 2017 starting at 4 pm and continuing through the evening. Rain dates TBD. We are 2 days a away from another year of our spectacular Christmas parade. We are reminding our community and surrounding communities that are attending that Main Street in Yaphank from River Road to Yaphank Middle Island Road will be CLOSED, also will be CLOSED from Long Island Ave and Yaphank Ave to Main Street for marchers, floats, and surrounding Fire Departments.
We also would like to urge residents and other residents that will be attending to PLEASE try to not park your vehicles along the parade route after 330pm for congestion purposes and safety. Parking will allowed at the firehouse, Charles E Walters Elementary and along Everett Drive into surrounding area.
Also as the parade passes Mueller’s Lane x Main Street the road will be opened from Yaphank Ave to Muellers Lane. Finally the Christmas Lighting ceremony will commence just after Santa arrives at the Corner or Main Street and Yaphank Middle Island Road.
